cause of lack interest in using Transjakarta
Jakarta
is a capital city of Indonesia that contain a huge numbers of people from
around islands. The huge numbers that Indonesia has, influence many social
problems. One of the biggest problems is Traffic congestion which is really
bring more harm than good for the Jakartan itself. This is true, because
Jakarta has been nominated as the poorest city that deal with traffic jam. The
most significant reason that Jakarta has been nominated as the horrible traffic
congestion city is because most of Jakartan lack of interest in using Trans
Jakarta as the main public transportation which is has already provided by the
government. There are three main factors that influence lack interest of
Jakarta in using Transjakarta such as poor shelter, bad busses facilities, and
unspecific schedule.
To
start with, poor shelter facilities is the main factor that caused lack
interest of Jakartan use the Transjakarta. In Jakarta, almost of the shelter is
really lack of facilities which is can decrease interest of Jakartan using that
public transportation itself. For instance, the quantity of chair in the
shelter is really limited than the amount numbers of passenger. As a result,
the passengers need to stand for a long time while they were waiting for the Transjakarta
come to the shelter. In addition, the lack quantity of chairs that exist in the
shelter bring negative impact to the
pregnant women and also the olds parent because they need to stand up with a
long period while they need to survive with their own condition. Besides the
limited chairs capacity in the shelter, the quantity of shelter is really
limited, and it is make the passengers hard to access the Transjakarta itself.
For example, people who live far from the shelter, need to go to the shelter
itself to reach their main destination. However, it is waste their energy and
cost to reach the shelter.
The
second reason that influence Jakartan lack interest of Transjakarta is bad
busses facilities and services. The bad facilities reduce willingness to use
the Transjakarta as a transportation because they will feel uncomfortable,
while for the most people put priority to comport, while the Transjakarta does
not provide a proper facilities. For instance, the limited seat of Transjakarta
that only provide 62 seats, but the average of passengers per day is out of
capacity which is as many as 130 people per one pick up. Such condition, will
make people inside the Trans Jakarta pushed each other and they will feel
uncomforted. Besides that, bad services also decrease the interest for using
the Transjakarta. For instance when people asking for the next shelter to
transit to the officers, then the officers said with impolite manner, it is
because the officers feel tired and exhausted, and it will impact to their
attitude which is really not good for the passengers. Those condition will
impact to the decrease interest of Transjakarta itself.
Besides
those two factors, another crucial reason that decrease the interest in using
Transjakarta is unspecific schedule that generally happen when people want to
use Transjakarta. The unspecific schedule makes people timetable indirectly
change. For instance, when they want to go to Pancoran to school, people has
already wait at a usual time, but because of a reason the Transjakarta was late
to come. As a result people will waste their time because their expectation is
totally different with their reality. Those condition will influence will the
people activities such as people will late at school and make their interest of
Transjakarta decrease.
In
conclusion, the lack interest of using Transjakarta is caused by three factors
such as poor shelter, bad busses facilities, and unspecific schedule. Under
such condition the government need to improve the shelter facilities, busses
facilities and the schedule arrangement to attract Jakartan interest in using
Transjakarta. By fixing those problem the society will feel comfortable and
safety and will increase their willingness in using Transjakarta as their
transportation. If those problem does not maintain yet it will bring a
destructive impression for the Jakarta as the capital city of Indonesia and it
will kills the government income from the Transjakarta itself.
