Do what makes you happy

It’s a cold night with the rain outside. I am looking to my “to do list” note, and I notice that I have several works to get done (important but not urgent stuff). One of my resolutions in 2019 is maintaining my self-management to be as productive as possible. So, here I am sitting in front of a work desk with a well-set laptop, and ready to make those things done. While I am open up my laptop, and I look into my green name tag that currently hanging on my wall with the word YOLO (You only live once) sticking on that old memorable thing. I remember that my senior told me to write down the most favorite quote of all time on my name tag when the university orientation just started.
I do strongly remember the terms YOLO, the word that I and some of my friends in senior high school often mention enjoying life when everything gets harder. “ YOLO guys, YOLO”. At that moment, I just feel like this YOLO quote is totally representing my life. Brave, happy, goal getter, and confident young woman. However, at this moment, I am not that brave, I am not that ambitious, and I am not that confidence, and not happy at all. Everything has changed more introverts and self –centered. I know the reasons this changes may occur since physiological development on my inner self growing dynamically. I admit personality may always change depends on the personal situation. As I grew older, I notice that so many responsibilities that need to be done whether in term of daily life, academic, work, or relationship. Those responsibilities drive me a little bit crazy and forget that I own a responsibility to make myself happy and forget to enjoy my only one opportunity to live.
Then, I think, revive my goals and redefine my happiness is something that I need to do right now. So before that, are you happy now? and what makes you happy?
For me, my happiness knowing that I can inspire people and give a positive impact on their life, and make them smile. Since those are the things that I love the most that can lead me to happiness. Also, my daily routine that leads me to happiness is: Listening to the 90’s songs, have a deep conversation with the loved one, read, volunteering, and chit-chat with new friends.
So, do what makes you happy, cause no one will!
